Hi, my name is Prem and I have been experiencing
and enjoying raw, living foods for over a year now and have
been teaching it for several months. This lifestyle has given
so much to me and in return I would like to give back what I
can.
I would like to share my experience of raw food
and why I find it such a life changing and also fun way of eating
and being.
I find the raw food diet ironic when I think
of all those people going through hell depriving themselves
to lose weight and all those people suffering taking all sorts
of pills for this and that. The solution is right here available
to anyone and as simple as anything could be. A raw food lifestyle
lets you eat what you want, evaporates the word deprivation
from the dictionary, will cure all diseases and bring you peak
health naturally.
I became hooked on raw when I started experimenting
with a raw food book my mum gave me for Christmas. Having always
been interested in making cakes and maybe because I was not
given total freedom to create cakes and destroy my kitchen in
a sweet creative passion when was younger, I began not-cooking!
Experimenting with many different raw food recipes and eventually
creating my own, I started selling my cakes locally and made
quite a success of it. I’ill never forget the first time
I walked into the deli of my local health food store and sat
a beautiful, fresh chocolate avocado cake down on the counter,
and assured them it was for real! They reluctantly agreed to
take it on consignment but called me later the same day to order
another one as it was already gone! (I think they finished it).
I didn't’t go 100% raw myself until I
went to a raw food picnic on the Gold Coast.
I dragged my friends along and by the time we had dipped our
hands in everything that could be sampled, chatted with all
the people present and drove home to digest the day, my friends
had decided to go raw and were dragging me with them!
We had not seen such beautifully presented, delicious, alive
food ever before, it seemed crazy not to go raw!
From then on my life has just flown higher and
higher. Since going 100% raw I have experienced an increasingly
positive life, I have taken up surfing which has resulted in
giving me a really fit and strong body not to mention the pure
joy and thrill of surfing(especially in Byron Bay). I have met
some of the most genuine lovely people that I could have possibly
dreamed of and I have felt a deeper friendship with all my friends.
I have run retreats, classes and taught people how to live a
healthy lifestyle. I have become much more sensitive to the
universe around me. I feel a true sense of identity. I have
devoted a lot of my energy to creating raw gourmet food. I have
contributed to the local community, I have learned how to shape
my life and create joy around me, and I am committed to reach
the world with my message. I am telling you this because I believe
that the biggest benefit of eating a raw living food diet is
the way your life becomes more and more positive. I believe
raw food is a magnet for positive change.
Here are some people I would like
to thank just for being who they are: Everyone I met
at the Byron Bay and Bangalow markets and our master-classes
(their are so many lovely people), everyone at our retreats
(I was never the same after that, you guys taught me so much),
Lara and Marshal for supporting me right from the beginning,
Christian for being an awesome surfing buddy, Eric for being
such a cool guy and of course the amazing funky forest, Paul
Benhaim for being so supportive to us, My mum for having a mysterious
way of picking presents, Jasmine for being such an awesome chick
(and a such hot chick), Raw Pleasure for hosting the picnic
that inspired us to go raw and of course my friends and eternal
soul mates who without you guys I would not be writing this
message: Anshu, Anand, Rahasya, Tashy, Nishta And a special
thanks to Avesh who is such an awesome guy and who has inspired
me and reminded me of the joy of life.
I wrote this because I want to offer you a taste
of my journey: it’s such a great journey and so much fun.
It began with lots of fun and great food and ended (or shall
I say carries on still to this day) with lots of fun and even
greater food! I want to help you to see that the journey to
health wherever you are in your life can be, (if you choose
it to be) a journey of joy, passion and celebration.
Lots of Love
